The Excitement of Business
On Thursday and Friday last week, we had a CACHATTO booth at a Gartner event in Mumbai. Despite our brand not being known to most of the visitors, we were able to capture many people's attention, obtain over 200 leads and 15 commitments to go ahead with PoCs (Proof of Concepts = trials). The organizer was very impressed with our success in getting attention, and we one of the best standouts among the exhibitors.
I was personally impressed with the different reactions we got from the Indian market compared to a year ago. Back then, when we started to market in India, we were not able to describe CACHATTO in a simple enough way. We gradually improved the way we described the product according to customers' reactions. On top of that, we started to use some of the expressions promoted by Gartner, one of the most prestigious IT analysist companies on the globe.
In spring this year, we started to describe CACHATTO as a "Secure Unified Digital Workspace." Since that concept was new to a lot the visitors at the event, it seemed to have captured a lot of interest. Many people came to our booth asking what the phrase meant. So, we started to describe the concept using IT buzzwords mostly initiated by Gartner and loved by IT gurus. As we said, "CACHATTO is a product that offers the following features: Secure Remote Access | MFA | SSO | DLP | Secure Offline | SDP | BYOD | CASB | Cloud Ready. They all come together in a single product." Most people instantly understood what we offered, and intense conversations continued.
The excitement of business lies in uncertainty. You never know what message will capture people's interest. So, you need to keep on experimenting. When you get to the point of success, it normally feels like it was very easy and simple. However, to get there, it feels like shooting in the dark. You must believe in the reactions you get and keep on proceeding even if you are uncertain. Eventually if you are lucky enough, the darkness will become light, and you'll know where you are. When you realize where you are, you will appreciate your luck. That is the excitement of business.
