３つのニュース記事の違いは何でしょう？
日経新聞、シアトルタイムズ、ニューヨークタイムズの記事を見てふと不思議に思ったこと。最初の記事は、あとの二つの記事と違っている。

違い、わかります？内容は関係ありません。そう、シアトルタイムズでもニューヨークタイムズでも、記事を書いた個人の名前があるのに、日経新聞の記事はそれがないのだ。
日経新聞でも書いた人の名前が記載されている場合はあるが、それはこの記事のように海外からの記事に限られているようだ。Seattle P-Iが紙媒体から撤退した時、社員有志が新しいオンラインニュースを立ち上げるかも知れないということを紹介した。その時のビジネスプランには、
毎日読んでいる新聞に記者の名前が必ず出てくれば、その記者がどんな視点を持っているか、読者も自然にわかってくる。私も、記者の名前によってじっくり読むか読み飛ばすかを決めることがよくある。"...we intend to continue the work of recognizable writers as Robert Jamieson, Mike Lewis, Art Thiel, and many others...."

読者というエンドユーザーが、記者の個人名を知っているということは、これからの時代重要ではないだろうか。たとえ新聞社という船が沈んでも、記者個人が、自身の認知度を頼りにオンラインジャーナリズムの新たなビジネスモデルを確立する可能性が高いのでは？
