オバマ陣営のボランティアーは560万人？

8月21日付けのエコノミスト誌からの引用：

"...Karl Rove, Mr Bush’s former strategist-in-chief, has frequently argued that the president mostly owed his re-election in 2004 to the fact that the campaign had recruited 1.4m volunteers. According to Ron Brownstein of the National Journal, the Obama campaign thinks it may be able to turn out four times that number, with local organisations in all 50 states...."

140万人の4倍だと、オバマ陣営は560万人のボランティアーがいることになる。オバマ氏のオフィシャルサイトではその数の真偽は確かめられなかったが、寄付金は5ドルから募っていたくらいだから、そんな人達まで含めるとこの数に上るのかも知れない。

彼のキャンペーンチーフは、David Axelrodという人らしい。こんな多くの人を動かすオバマ陣営の組織力に注目してみようかな。
