Exceeding 1,000 enterprise adoptions

This month (February 2018), the accumulated number of enterprises that have adopted CACHATTO has exceeded 1,000. The number of user licenses has exceeded 430,000. So, on average, there are 430 users per enterprise. The service started in March 2003, and we reached 100 enterprises in March 2008. So, it took approximately 10 years to gain another digit. 1.26 to the power of 10 makes 10.08, so this indicates we have grown 126% annually over 10 consecutive years.

As I often say, enterprise business is tough, specifically in Japan where customers are very particular about service, quality, and stability. We put a lot of effort into improving the quality while changing the product, so we could be the leader in the market. The market itself opened up as a method to allow feature phones to access enterprise email systems. It evolved into an enterprise security solution for smart devices. Now, by adding PC capabilities, we have become a comprehensive tele-work infrastructure solution.

Our customers in Japan are not limited to any specific segments but are widely distributed across many industries. Many government offices not only in local, but also in central Japan are our customers too. Now, I am foreseeing that we will get to the size of 1,000,000 users within several years. However, if we just limit ourselves to the Japanese market, or Japanese affiliated enterprise market, we won't gain the next 10X growth in 10 years.

One of the reasons why I put a lot of emphasis on gaining customers in the non-Japanese market is because of the potential growth. As security consciousness has been increasing in some Asian countries such as in India, we have been getting a lot of positive feedback from our potential customers. Some customers are even finding new ways to use CACHATTO; they are using CACHATTO to allow their employees and partners access to the corporate system securely, while preventing data leakage. Creating new use cases in new markets enables us to gain another digit in our business size; another 126% annual growth over 10 years will enable us to achieve that.

It might sound ambitious, but it is what I truly believe. And when you believe, you will achieve it somehow. The same concept has been applied and actualized since I started this company.
